榮耀的王要進來


詩篇 24
「眾城門哪，你們要抬起頭來！永久的門戶，你們要被舉起！那榮耀的王將要進來。」 - 詩 24:7

　　榮耀的王在哪裡呢？詩篇24篇說：「地和其中所充滿的、世界、和住在其間的、都屬耶和華。」這樣看來，榮耀的王應該充滿世界的每一個地方，參與到每一個層面的工作中。

　　沒錯。主的確以祂奇妙的作為在世上工作，但並非每個人都想要這位榮耀的王成為自己生命的主。我們的罪阻擋我們來尋求神並信靠祂的供應。我們不妨問自己一個問題，「在我們的家中、學校、公司，和公共場合，神是否受到我們的歡迎呢？」還是，在那些我們認為不需要神的地方，或我們想任意而行的地方，會對祂掛上「請勿打擾」的牌子？

　　以色列的大衛王在詩篇宣告說：「眾城門哪，你們要抬起頭來！那榮耀的王將要進來。」榮耀的王，無論在古時的以色列民心中，還是今日我們的生命中，都配得最重要的地位。這些話具有先知性的預言，不但在大衛王時期指出了耶穌基督要來到世間，也在今日提醒我們，榮耀的王已經來到，大能的主已經建立祂的國度。祂也洗清了我們的罪，好使我們能「手潔心清」地站在神的面前。

　　今日，主正尋找那些瞻仰祂的榮耀，並熱切傳祂福音的信徒。你是這樣的人嗎？

榮耀的王啊，歡迎祢，願眾城門和門戶都為祢大開。我們滿懷喜樂，歡慶祢的同在。奉耶穌的名禱告，阿們。

3誰能登耶和華的山？ 誰能站在他的聖所？
4就是手潔心清，不向虛妄， 起誓不懷詭詐的人。
5他必蒙耶和華賜福， 又蒙救他的神使他成義。
6這是尋求耶和華的族類， 是尋求你面的雅各。 （細拉）
7眾城門哪，你們要擡起頭來！ 永久的門戶，你們要被舉起！ 那榮耀的王將要進來！
8榮耀的王是誰呢？ 就是有力有能的耶和華， 在戰場上有能的耶和華！

King Of Glory


Psalm 24
"Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in." — Psalm 24:7

Where is the King of glory today? Psalm 24 says that "the earth is the LORD's, and everything in it," so the King of glory must be present and working everywhere in this world, right?

Yes, the Lord is present and working in amazing ways. But not everyone wants the King of glory to be the Lord of their life. Our sin often gets in the way of seeking God and trusting him for everything we need. We have to ask ourselves, "Is God welcome in our homes, schools, businesses, public offices?" Or is there a "Do not enter" sign posted in some places where we think we don't need God, or where we think the Lord would spoil our freedom to do as we please?

The psalmist, King David of Israel, declares, "Lift up your heads, you gates . . . that the King of glory may come in." These words reestablish that the King of glory was at the heart of the community of ancient Israel and should be at the center of our lives today. These words are prophetic, pointing in David's day to the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ on this earth—and reminding us today that he has come. The Lord Almighty has established his kingdom, and he has freed us from sin so that we can stand in God's presence with "clean hands and a pure heart."

Today the Lord is seeking men and women who are passionate about his glory and good news. Are you among them?

Prayer

King of glory, you are welcome in this place. The gates and doors are open wide for you. We are filled with joy and praise as we celebrate your presence. Amen.
