聖靈的諸般祝福

約翰福音 7:37-39

聖靈有各種形式的彰顯，象徵著當祂住在我們裡面時，我們所得到的寶貴祝福。聖靈像鴿子一樣降臨，用平安和聖潔的滿足感充滿我們。耶穌受洗時聖靈彷彿鴿子降在祂身上，我們聽見天父的聲音說：「你是我的愛子，我喜悅你」（路 3:22）。

在五旬節，聖靈如同舌頭般的火焰降下（徒 2:3），聖靈的火燒掉我們自私的習慣，粗俗的言語，剛硬之心的忘恩負義，以及我們在人際關係中缺乏恩典的行為，從而潔淨了我們全人。

當耶穌的門徒在五旬節用各種方言說話時，有些圍觀的人以為他們喝醉了（徒 2:13）。為什麼呢？因為其他的語言在他們聽來就像胡言亂語——但對於能夠聽懂這些語言的人就不一樣了。被聖靈充滿的人，喜樂溢於言表，他們不住地講論耶穌，以祂為世上的至寶。

我們也經歷到聖靈是來幫助我們的安慰者，是在困境中為我們辯護的保惠師（約 14:15-27；15:26）。

聖靈也被描述為活水的江河。就像我們從內向外湧出泉水一樣，聖靈的活水確保我們永遠不會再渴（約 4:13-14）。

靈命的豐盛定義我們真實的存在。而這在基督徒的生活中是最基本的常態。

聖靈啊，成為我們和平的鴿子，降下火的洗禮，我們的中保和喜樂的賜予者，我們的安慰者和保惠師，以及我們的生命之水。奉耶穌的名，阿們。

The Blessings Of The Holy Spirit

"'Whoever believes in me . . . rivers of living water will flow from within them.' By this he meant the Spirit. . . ." - John 7:38-39

The Holy Spirit has taken on various forms that symbolize important blessings we receive when he lives within us. The Spirit comes as a dove and fills us with peace and holy contentment. We hear the voice of the Father, as when the dove came upon Jesus at his baptism: "You are my [child], whom I love; with you I am well pleased" (Luke 3:22).

On Pentecost the Spirit descended with tongues of fire (Acts 2:3), and the fire of the Spirit purifies us by burning away our selfish habits, our coarse language, our stubborn ingratitude, and our lack of grace in relationships.

As the disciples of Jesus spoke in many languages on Pentecost, some of the onlookers thought they were drunk (Acts 2:13). Why? Because the other languages sounded like babbling to them—but not to the people who understood those languages! And people who are filled with the Spirit overflow with joy and cannot stop talking about Jesus, the greatest treasure in the world.

We experience the Spirit also as a comforter who comes to our aid and as a lawyer who defends us in situations of distress (John 14:15-27; 15:26).

The Spirit is also described as a river of living water. Like a spring bubbling up within us, the living water of the Spirit ensures that we will never be thirsty again (John 4:13-14).

Life in the Spirit is truly an abundant existence. And this is normal in the Christian life.

Prayer

Holy Spirit, be our dove of peace, our baptism of fire, our translator and joy giver, our comforter and defending lawyer, and our water of life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
