跑這最後的一圈


羅馬書 13:11-14
“黑夜已深，白晝將近。我們就當脫去暗昧的行為，帶上光明的兵器。＂ - 羅 13:12

　　我在高中時期曾參加田徑隊。我很享受需要繞跑道八圈的3200米競賽。雖然我並不是跑得最快的，但對我們來說，第八圈往往是會跑得最快的。聽起來有點奇怪，因為跑到最後一圈，應該都筋疲力盡了。但是，因為我們知道比賽即將結束，便會竭盡全力地快跑。

　　我們不知道耶穌何時再來，也不知道何時得與祂在天家同住。但我們確實知道，我們故事的終局便是，在天家與祂同住。因著祂的死與復活，我們知道這世界的終局將是善勝過了惡。

　　正是因為我們知道故事的結局，所以聖經鼓勵我們謹記，要存著這種確信的盼望去生活。

　　神呼召我們，要我們按著耶穌教導的方式去生活。有時這會很困難，但聖靈澆灌我們，使我們能夠活出來。因為我們知道，耶穌會再來並修復一切的創造。

　　在某種程度上說，這是我們的最後一圈。儘管我們可能很累，卻仍能快跑，因為那榮耀的終點就在前面。

禱告

主耶穌啊，願祢快來！我們相信祢必快來，正如祢應許的那樣。求祢幫助我們，活在祢將要來臨國度的亮光中。奉耶穌的名禱告。阿們。

13行事為人要端正，好像行在白晝。不可荒宴醉酒；不可好色邪蕩；不可爭競嫉妒。
14總要披戴主耶穌基督，不要為肉體安排，去放縱私慾。

Dawn Of Hope


Romans 13:11-14
"The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light." — Romans 13:12

I was on the track team when I was a high school student. I enjoyed the 3,200 meter event, in which we ran eight laps around the track. Though I was not a fast runner, the last lap was often the fastest for many of us. That might seem strange, since we were all tired by the last lap, but we ran as fast as we could because we knew that we were almost finished with the race.

We do not know when Jesus will return. We do not know when we will begin our heaven­ly life with Jesus. But we do know that heavenly life with Jesus is how our story can end. Because of his death and resurrection, we know that the story of this world will end with the victory of good over evil.

Since that is the end of the story as we know it, the Bible encourages us to live with that confident hope in mind.

We are called to live as Jesus desires us to live. That is difficult sometimes, but we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to live in that way because we know that Jesus will return and that all creation will be restored.

This is our last lap, in a way. Though we may be tired, we can still run quickly because the glorious finish line is just ahead of us.

Prayer

Come quickly, Lord Jesus. We trust that you will come soon, as you have promised. Help us to live in the light of your coming kingdom. Help us to follow you in hope. Amen.
